Introduction
We are delighted to invite you to the inaugural session of Foresight Talks, a series of thought-provoking discussions with experts on key issues shaping the future of the EU and its regions. Join us for the first lunchtime briefing, held in person at the European Committee of the Regions and focusing on Ukraine's European future. This one-hour event will feature a presentation by Mario Damen from the European Parliament Research Service, who will present different scenarios for Ukraine's relations with the EU and for the resolution of the war, followed by a Q&A session.

- Presentation (25 min): Mario Damen, Senior Policy Analyst, Policy Foresight Unit, European Parliament Research Service
Report showcase: "EU-Ukraine 2035: Strategic foresight analysis on the future of the EU and Ukraine", an analysis launched amid the geopolitical shifts following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Utilizing foresight methodologies like stakeholder consultations and scenario building, the analysis explored future developments concerning Ukraine-Russia and EU-Ukraine relations.
Policy considerations during the presentation will concentrate on four pivotal areas: transitioning to a new European security architecture, EU enlargement and Ukraine's reconstruction, fostering a green and sovereign EU, and the EU's diplomatic relations with key countries in the conflict.
- Q&A Session (30 min): Open floor for audience questions and dialogue on how various scenarios may impact Europe and its regions.
