This event intends to assist national and regional authorities in the preparation of SSCOs leading to conservation measures for Natura 2000 sites.
Themes to be addressed in this networking event are:
- Issues concerning the completeness of the knowledge base and the filling of data gaps.
- Identify what information is considered compulsory, and where there should be flexibility.
- What is expected from the Commission in terms of monitoring and evaluating SSCOs and when should the outcomes be reported.
- The link between SSCOs, favourable conservation status and appropriate assessments.
The event will provide answers to the most challenging questions that authorities are facing regarding setting and implementing SSCOs.
