Opinion on Supporting SMEs in regional value chains – fostering the proximity economy

The CoR has recently appointed Barbara Hegedűs (HU/ECR), Member of a Local Assembly: Local Government of Veszprém with county rights, as rapporteur for the opinion on supporting SMEs in regional value chains – fostering the proximity economy.
The Rapporteur would be pleased to meet representatives of relevant stakeholder organisations for a consultation on the thematic of the opinion, in order to gather the different points of views and discuss the main issues.
The consultation will be structured around the following elements of the agenda:
- Introduction by the rapporteur: the issues at stake
- Presentation of the European Commissions' study on Improving the socioeconomic knowledge of the proximity economy
- Comments from the participating organisations (allowing maximum number of participants to speak)
- Reactions from the rapporteur and the European Commission
