  • Vision of Europe

The climate crisis, caused by climate change, is the greatest threat to modern society. Climate extremes, such as devastating storms and high temperatures, cause extreme damage not only to nature but also to society—the health system, housing, work, energy system, transport, infrastructure, and many other exposed systems. Urgent and joint action is needed to stop the climate crisis. This includes changing our way of life and business and turning to green and sustainable solutions.

As a global problem, the climate crisis requires a broad mobilisation of stakeholders from all social and economic sectors. The EU Local Dialogue and conference "Developing Green Infrastructure towards Climate-Neutral Cities" will be held at the Old City Hall in Zagreb on February 14, 2025. It is an ideal platform for urgent mobilisation and action to stop the progression of the climate crisis.

By bringing together leading experts, scientists, mayors, and representatives of local self-government units from all over Europe to jointly consider the key aspects of sustainable urban energy, we continue the discussion on green and sustainable policies, taking into account the conclusions of the Green Transition Drives European Cities Conference held in May 2024.

The event will combine few different formats, including expert panels with discussion with speakers, and separate group discussions with every political group represented in the City Assembly.

The event will be accessible online, which will enable those who cannot be present at the venue to follow and participate in the discussion. Please register for participation.

You can now check out the conclusions following the event.
