EuroPCom, the European Public Communication Conference, is Europe's largest annual gathering of public communication experts, jointly organised by the EU institutions. The 17th edition of EuroPCom took place on-site on 9 and 10 June 2026.

Under the theme Be connectors: creating proximity in a fragmented world, communicators, leaders and changemakers explored the topic of connection in public communication. We live in an age of constant connection, yet meaningful closeness often feels out of reach. Messages circulate instantly, but trust, dialogue and a sense of belonging remain fragile. In this context, public communication plays a crucial role: not only in sharing information, but in bringing people together and reinforcing democratic resilience.

This year’s programme was structured around three strategic dimensions that reflect today’s most pressing communication challenges:

  • Connecting people
  • Connecting places
  • Connecting times.

Across all three strands, a Digital mirror served as a cross-cutting perspective, exploring how technology can both connect and divide.
