Across Europe, regions face a dual challenge: persistent labour shortages in the renewable energy sector, and the underused skills and potential of third-country nationals already present in EU territories. Bridging these two dynamics is both an economic necessity and a strategic lever for the green transition.
The POWGEN project tested pathways for the labour market integration of migrants into renewable energy value chains, through tailored training, multi-stakeholder cooperation and strong regional ownership. As the project concludes, this final conference presents its pilot outcomes and practical guidelines for local and regional authorities, alongside real experience panels and migrants' testimonies.
