This EU Local Dialogue is an in-presence event organised by the Chair of CoR ECON Commission, Alberto Cirio (IT/EPP), which has the objectives of disseminate and know better renewing farming methods, protecting biodiversity, and building an organic relationship between gastronomy and agricultural science.
The expected outcome is to know better the mission and the research works of the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, and to link it with the activities of the CoR in the agri-food sector. In particular, the event aims at highlighting how this private non-profit institution educates future gastronomes, new professional figures with multi-disciplinary skills and knowledge in the fields of science, culture, politics, economics and ecology of food, working to apply them to production, distribution and sustainable consumption.
Members of the CoR, Jan ZÁMEČNÍK (CZ/EPP) and Piotr CAŁBECKI (PL/ECR), NAT Commission Chair and Vice-chair, will intervene, together with students and professors of the University of Pollenzo.
