The trademark "IO SONO FVG" is a tool that rewards those farmers, fishermen and other agri-food operators who decide to improve their sustainable practices. If they want to receive this mark, they are required to perform an environmental, economic and social sustainability self-assessment and need to be committed to improving their results. The evaluation received is available for the consultation of the consumers.
To empower those in the agri-food sector to make more informed, healthy and sustainable choices there is an additional step. In fact, when the case producers want to apply the mark "IO SONO FVG" on their packaging, they have to declare the origin of all ingredients used in their food preparation.
This information is made accessible to the consumers through mandatory labelling which is connected to the mark and requires a QR-code next to the logo. Through this, everyone can easily access the product's traceability data and information about the sustainability impact of the companies producing them.
