Your job and responsibilities
Interested in applying your IT and cybersecurity skills for protecting the core IT infrastructure and information assets of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC)? Like to help your colleagues ensuring that the Committees' digital infrastructure is reliable, cybersecure and performant, as well as continuously evolving and fit-for-purpose to meet our stakeholders' needs?
We are currently looking for two cybersecurity administrators in Digital platforms Unit. In that position, you are responsible for leading tasks focused on the design, implementation, and operation of cybersecurity controls in a hybrid IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on cloud enablers and platforms. You will contribute to the definition and implementation of the Committees' cybersecurity framework according to the Cybersecurity Regulation for EU institutions, agencies and bodies, and carry out a wide variety of engineering and operational cybersecurity tasks. You will assist in defining, planning, and executing the annual cybersecurity work plan, cooperate with other units within the directorate on implementing cybersecurity controls, represent the Committees in technical inter-institutional working groups, and stay up to date with cross-cutting cybersecurity technologies and trends (ex. by evaluating and applying artificial intelligence in cybersecurity processes and solutions).
You are also responsible for the continuous monitoring and improvement of cybersecurity controls and risk-mitigating measures within the hybrid IT infrastructure of the Committees.
You are part of the dynamic team of the Systems Administration and Cybersecurity sector, which consists of seven officials (including the Head of Sector) and four consultants.

Job-specific requirements
- You have sound experience in IT infrastructure services and projects, with at least 7 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in the field of cybersecurity
- You have strong skills in the design, architecture, and operations of (cloud-based) cybersecurity solutions, along with hands-on experience in cybersecurity incident response (plans and reporting)
- You are keen on demonstrating your service-oriented mindset, your drive for continuous improvement, and your capacity to perform under pressure in a dynamic and fast-evolving operational IT context
- You have proven experience in managing security on cloud platforms or network appliances (Azure, Netskope, F5, Entra-ID, Intune) or in working in a DevSecOps context
- You have a thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the European Union and a satisfactory knowledge of another of the EU official languages. For functional reasons, a high level of English is required and a good level of French would be an asset
- You have a good command of IT applications and tools, such as Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint, including AI tools in a secure environment
Assets
- Previous experience in managing security on cloud or on-premise components and network appliances is a strong asset
- Holding recognized certifications in the field of cybersecurity, cloud or IT service management is desirable
