The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) is happy to welcome you to a hybrid stakeholder's consultation on the Opinion "Climate adaptation in cities and regions: building the European Climate Adaptation Plan", led by rapporteur Matteo Lepore (IT/PES), Mayor of Bologna (Italy).
The consultation will take place on 8 July 2025,from 14:00 to 15:45, in a hybrid format, online (Teams) and in person at the CoR premises (Building JDE, Room JDE70, Rue Belliard 99-101, Brussels).
The meeting will feature contributions from the rapporteur for the opinion, as well as representatives from the European Commission (DG CLIMA) and the appointed expert. The main objective is to gather feedback and suggestions to inform the CoR’s opinion and contribute to the Commission’s work on the Adaptation Plan.
The consultation will bring together a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives of city and regional networks, the insurance industry, and the broader private sector.
The draft opinion is scheduled for discussion at the ENVE commission meeting on 02 October 2025. The opinion is expected to be approved at the CoR plenary session in December 2025.
