On 7 November 2023, 11:00 – 12:00 CET, the Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform, co-chaired by the European Committee of the Regions and the Directorate-General for Environment of the European Commission, will host the third in a series of Zero Pollution Talks. The topic for the event is "Zero Pollution and the Soil Monitoring Law – involving local and regional authorities and stakeholders".

The Zero Pollution Talks initiative is designed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, raise awareness, and address a wide range of issues and topics related to zero pollution.

The Zero Pollution talk on the Soil Monitoring Law will shed light on the proposed legislation's role in addressing soil degradation and promoting soil health within the EU, ensuring a high level of environmental and health protection. Acknowledging the vital role of Local and Regional Authorities (LRAs) and other key stakeholders who are on the front lines, the talk will feature insights from diverse expert panelists and online participants.
