The Better Regulation and Active Subsidiarity Steering Group, chaired by Karin Müller (DE/EPP), State Secretary for European and International Affairs and De-bureaucratisation of the State of Hesse, will hold its 8th meeting on Wednesday, 2nd July 2026, in Brussels from 14:30 to 17:00.
Members will exchange on the role of local and regional authorities in contributing to the EU better regulation agenda, in particular with regard to the recent communication of the European Commission on Better regulation and enforcement. They will also discuss the operationalization of the CoR better regulation strategy, take stock of the activities of the various better regulation tools.
The meeting will take place in room JDE70 of the CoR premises.
