The city of Saint-Omer hosts Europe Day on May 9th. The event aims to raise public awareness of the European Union by setting up a market stall on Saturday morning at the Saint-Omer market, taking advantage of the high foot traffic.
The goal is to invite representatives from European institutions to engage with citizens on the challenges and workings of the European Union, making it more accessible and tangible.
Following the market, a special event will be organized with European culinary specialties, with the support of François Decoster, member of the European Committee of the Regions (FR/Renew).
European programs will be presented, particularly the social cohesion policy, and presentation of the European Union's local liaison officer system.
