The next online meeting of the Foresight Network of EU Cities and Regions will focus on future-proofing metropolitan areas and different approaches to applying strategic foresight in practice.
Eva Chueca, Head of Foresight and Strategy at Barcelona Metropolitan Area, and Ana Gallego, Data Officer at the Secretariat General of the World Association of the Major Metropolises (Metropolis), will share perspectives on how metropolitan areas can use foresight to prepare for future opportunities and challenges.
The programme will also include a session on UNDP’s approach to strategic foresight. The session will provide insights into how communities could start using foresight and the UNDP's signal scanning system.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, share updates from their organisations and exchange experiences with other foresight practitioners across Europe.
The Foresight Network of EU Cities and Regions is a working-level exchange space for local and regional practitioners using strategic foresight. It supports peer learning, the sharing of practical experiences, and discussion on foresight methods and cooperation opportunities.
