The 10th meeting of the Commission for Sustainable Territorial Development of the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM) will take place on 1 and 2 July 2024 in the Hotel du Department, Carcassonne, France, at the invitation of Mrs Hélène Sandragné, President of the Departmental Council of Aude.

The ARLEM Commission meeting on 2 July will be an opportunity for ARLEM Members to discuss two thematic draft reports: "Sustainable energy transition in the Mediterranean" (rapporteur:  Franck Proust (FR/EPP), President of Nîmes Métropole) and "Building water resilience: the role of Mediterranean cities and regions" (rapporteur: Taleb Abderrahmane El Mahjoub, Mayor of Tevragh Zeina, Mauritania). The ARLEM Commission meeting will also feature a discussion on Intercultural dialogue- The Mediterranean capitals of culture and dialogue and a presentation of the ARLEM Roadmap on Civil Protection. The ARLEM Commission meeting will be preceded on 1 July by a workshop on Civil protection and followed on 2 July by a conference on "Water, Europe and resilient communities-Towards a European Water Strategy: a multilevel water management to fight the climate crisis".
