The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) is preparing an opinion on the "European Wind Power Action Plan", led by rapporteur Andries GRYFFROY, Member of a Regional Assembly, Flemish Parliament, and member of the Commission for the Environment, Climate change and Energy (ENVE) of the CoR.
This stakeholder consultation will provide the rapporteur with useful information to support the preparation of the draft opinion. The rapporteur invites different actors to reflect on the proposed Directive, its possible challenges, consequences, and to explore ways to enhance it.
The draft opinion is scheduled for discussion at the ENVE commission meeting on 25 June 2024. The opinion is expected to be approved at the CoR plenary session of 08-09 October 2024.
