Young people are not only the future of Latvia and Europe - they are also active citizens, and today’s decisions shape their opportunities and well‑being. This EU Local Dialogue, organised by Karina Mikelsone (LV/Renew) in Ādaži (Ādažu novads, LV-2163, Latvia), invites young people from Ādaži and beyond to take part in an open, inspiring conversation about the challenges and opportunities facing their region, Latvia, and Europe.

The conference aims to highlight how global developments directly influence life at local level, especially for a country located on the EU’s eastern border. It will bring together young participants with representatives from the European Parliament, the European Committee of the Regions, and leading economists, offering them a unique chance to engage directly with voices from the heart of Europe.

Held on the eve of Europe Day, the conference will spotlight the role each Member State plays in shaping the Union, the importance of democratic engagement, and how European decisions resonate in everyday life in Ādaži.

This Local Dialogue encourages young people to think globally while acting locally - reinforcing that their perspectives, energy and democratic participation are essential for Europe’s future.
