Organised by Sari Rautio (FI/EPP), Chair of the EPP Group in the European Committee of the Regions, this EU Local Dialogue will bring together local and regional stakeholders in Kuopio to discuss the future of Eastern Finland in a changing European context. As the EU prepares for a new funding period and Europe’s eastern border regions adapt to new geopolitical realities, participants will explore opportunities related to competitiveness, innovation, research, education, sustainable business development and comprehensive security. The dialogue will also highlight the role of cohesion policy, regional cooperation and European partnerships in strengthening the vitality and resilience of the Savo region.
