Objective

Provide input from the perspective of cities, regions and rural areas across the EU to the work of the budgetary authority on the MFF proposals for the future Erasmus+ programme
Stress the role of local and regional authoriities in the implementation of the EU's European Education Area policies and the importance of the Erasmus+ programme for the implementation of the European Education Area at tthe local and regional level in cooperation with the other levels of givernance: national and European
As much as possible lobby for a higher financial envelope for the programme in cooperation with the EP CULT Committee
Require more involvement of the local and regional level in the design and implementation of the programme
Facilitate access to more students to education exchange and support inclusiveness
Underscore the importance of vocational education mobility for the purpose of competitiveness and as a contribution towards the EU's Union of Skills policies
Draw particular attention to the needs of a continued EU Digital education Action plan to be supported in a clear and dedicated manner by the Erasmus+
Advocate the empowerment of teachers, notably in relation to digital education, both in the context of mobility and capacity building
