La déclaration de l’Alliance européenne des villes et des régions pour la reconstruction de l’Ukraine précède la réunion des principaux donateurs.
The Forum is the CoR's response to a 'call for action' by the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) 2024 in Berlin to establish new inter-municipal partnerships and foster deeper cooperation in view of Ukraine's sustainable recovery and reconstruction. As such, the event also represents CoR's contribution to the URC 2025 taking place on 10-11 July in Rome.
Organised in collaboration with the European Alliance of Cities and Regions for the Reconstruction of Ukraine and in the margins of its political meeting, the main objective of the Forum is to provide a platform for networking and matchmaking between the European and Ukrainian municipalities and regions. Ukrainian representatives of 30 Ukrainian local and regional authorities, including many mayors, are expected to join the event.
The event aims to foster networking and discussions around shared goals, ensuring that partnerships address both immediate needs and long-term recovery priorities. To facilitate early-stage matchmaking, a series of pitches will highlight potential areas for collaboration, enabling participants to identify mutually beneficial initiatives and align their efforts for greater impact.
