The CoR is in the process of drafting a legislative opinion on the National and Regional Partnership Plans (NRPP) Fund regulation.
The rapporteurs for this opinion, Mr. Emil BOC, Mayor of Cluj Napoca, and Mr. Vasco ALVES CORDEIRO, Member of the Regional Assembly of the Azores, would be pleased to meet representatives of local and regional authorities and other relevant stakeholders for a consultation and exchange of views on the relevant topics of this opinion.
With the presentation of the new proposal for National and Regional Partnership Plans for the period 2028-2034, as part of the European Commission’s reform of the Multiannual Financial Framework, key issues such as how will the EU continue to support economic, social and territorial cohesion, how can regional authorities be involved the governance of the plans, or how can EU priorities can be addressed in all regions are vital for cities and regions across Europe.
The draft opinion is planned for adoption at the meeting of the COTER Commission on 5 February 2026 and at the CoR Plenary on 6-7 May 2026.
The exchange will be interactive and primarily focused on stakeholders' input and presentation of their views on the subject. The meeting will be held in English in hybrid form (on site and online). Registration is mandatory via the REGISTER button above by 23 January at 11:59am.
