Nestled in the heart of the Apennines, Abetone represents a unique heritage of alpine tradition, passion for winter sports, and strong community identity. This exhibition celebrates the rich history of the area, paying tribute to the legendary champions who carved their names into international skiing history as well as the local talents shaping its present and future.
Organized by the Abetone Ski Patrol (Soccorso Piste Abetone) in collaboration with MEPs Susanna Ceccardi, Francesco Torselli, and Dario Nardella, the photographic narrative highlights the vital role of safety and dedication on the slopes. Beyond sports achievements, the exhibition tells the story of a volunteer association deeply rooted in its region—“by Abetone, for Abetone”—whose members ensure the safety and wellbeing of every visitor day after day.
Access to the buildings of the EU institutions is possible but regulated. Only persons registered at an event (conference, meeting, etc.) in the JDE building where the exhibition is hosted can visit the exhibition.
