The meeting of the ECON commission on 10 March in Brussels will feature debates on key topical issues, such as:

  1. a debate on the recently issued Competitiveness Compass with Luis Viegas Cardoso from the EU’s Competitiveness Task Force and Fabian Zuleeg from the European Policy Centre
  2. a presentation of key results from the EIB Municipalities Survey 2024-2025 by Emily Sinnott from the European Investment Bank
  3.  a debate on Digital Policy and Use of AI by Public Authorities with Veronica Gaffey, Director General of the Directorate-General for Digital Services at the European Commission, Izabela Iglewska from the Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU and Susanna Fontana from Fondazione Formit
  4. a debate on Multiannual Financial Framework post-2027 to feed into a CoR resolution on a post-2027 MFF proposal.

Members of the ECON commission will also adopt its Work Programme for 2025.
