Villa Zero is classified as the world's first carbon dioxide-neutral detached house. A unique collaboration project where involved organisations got the experience and learned how to build together for a more sustainable future. A constructor team made out of only women built the house. Villazero is a collaborative project that Fiskarhedenvillan, Mondo Arkitekter and Structor Byggteknik Dalarna have run together with support from Region Dalarna.

The project hence focuses on two areas: reducing carbon dioxide emissions and creating a more equal construction industry. The house was built based on the most low-carbon choices on the market today, both for materials and methods. The project has achieved the goals set : the house is carbon dioxide neutral and the lessons learned from the project will now form new basis for new work methods, choices and products.
