Equal pay, equal opportunities – from European policies to local changes

Organised by Joško Klisović (HR/PES), member of the European Committee of the Regions, this EU Local Dialogue will take place in the context of the European Parliament’s Gender Equality Week and focus on equal pay and equal opportunities for women and men. Bringing together representatives of European, national and local institutions, civil society organisations, social partners and young elected politicians, the roundtable will explore the structural causes of the gender pay gap and assess the effectiveness of policies designed to address economic inequalities. Participants will discuss practical measures to promote gender equality, exchange good practices and identify recommendations to strengthen equal opportunities in local communities and workplaces.
