The current negotiations for the future Erasmus+ Programme 2028-2034 will have a significant impact on the future of young people and of society as a whole. Research has repeatedly shown the positive impact of Erasmus+ on young people’s key competence development, improved attitudes towards democracy, higher rates of participation and willingness to collaborate with people of different opinions.
In response to the ongoing discussions, the European Youth Forum is hosting a policy event, hosted at the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) focused on the impact and value of Erasmus+ for young people in Europe, and the future of the upcoming iteration of the programme.
The gathering will convene key stakeholders of Erasmus+ youth from different backgrounds, including policy-makers, youth organisation representatives, and civil society partners.
