In the framework of the 30th Anniversary of the European Committee of the Regions, the CoR Spanish Delegation will contribute to this celebration with a conference dedicated the reflection on the role of the Committee and the participation of the Spanish regions and municipalities through these three decades.
The event, organised by Mr Jesús Ángel Garrido Martínez (ES/EPP), director general of Funds and Relations with the EU of the Government of La Rioja, will take place in Logroño, La Rioja.
The conference will gather Spanish CoR Members and other national, regional and local authorities, experts on EU affairs and other stakeholders to discuss on the present and future of the Committee, the role of the regions and municipalities in the EU and the participation of the Spanish Autonomous Communities in the European project. It will also allow their participants to reflect on the impact of EU policies in the local and regional entities and exchange good practices of regional and local participation in the European Union.
The conference will end with the adoption of a Declaration of the CoR Spanish Delegation on the 30th Anniversary of the Committee of the Regions.
