Your job and responsibilities

Are you passionate about turning AI opportunities into practical, production-ready solutions? Do you combine hands-on experimentation with the discipline to deliver secure, scalable and compliant AI services?

 As an AI Solution Delivery Expert in the AI & Data Team of the Directorate for Innovation and Information Technology (DIIT), you will help identify high-value AI opportunities, design and pilot practical solutions, and drive successful delivery of use cases into production with internal teams, stakeholders and external providers. 

 You will turn AI exploration into operational value across the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) by shaping, testing, delivering and scaling useful, sustainable and trustworthy solutions. You will combine business understanding, practical AI knowledge and project delivery discipline to ensure AI initiatives deliver real added value.

 Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Identify and shape AI opportunities with clear operational value and realistic delivery potential;
  • Translate opportunities into deliverable solutions by defining use cases, success criteria, functional needs, delivery plans, milestones and pragmatic implementation options;
  • Design, prototype and pilot AI solutions such as AI agents, workflow automations or other AI-enabled services, iterating based on evidence, user feedback and technical constraints;
  • Move successful pilots into production by coordinating end-to-end delivery and integration into business processes, enterprise tools, systems and data environments;
  • Ensure production readiness through acceptance criteria, testing, validation, documentation, monitoring and continuous improvement;
  • Contribute to scalable AI service delivery through repeatable delivery approaches, patterns and governance mechanisms;
  • Support responsible AI deployment by addressing security, data protection, ethics, risk management, compliance and alignment with the EU AI Act;
  • Drive adoption and business value through training, awareness, change management and user engagement;
  • Facilitate decisions with users, stakeholders and providers by presenting clear recommendations on value, cost, risk and sustainability;
  • Support team priorities with a collaborative, delivery-driven and solutions-focused mindset.

Job-specific requirements

  • You have a thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the European Union and a satisfactory knowledge of another of the EU official languages. For functional reasons, a high level of English is required and a good level of French is desirable.
  • You have strong knowledge of and practical experience with AI technologies, including applied AI, NLP and emerging ICT tools.
  • You have proven experience in IT and AI project delivery, including requirements analysis, delivery planning, implementation coordination, provider supervision and change management.
  • You have experience applying AI lifecycle good practices, including evaluation, testing, validation, production monitoring and documentation.
  • You have experience designing and deploying AI agents or workflow automation solutions in enterprise environments, using platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and/or AI Foundry.
  • You possess the ability to translate business needs into functional and technical solutions and to support their delivery and integration into existing organisational processes.
  • You have experience in promoting the responsible use of AI, including ethics, risk management and regulatory compliance considerations.
  • You can act as an AI Act correspondent, supporting regulatory monitoring, compliance, guidance, awareness raising and liaison with governance stakeholders.
  • You have a good command of standard IT tools and collaborative platforms and are willing to develop digital and AI-related skills.

Assets

  • Experience working in a public sector or EU institutional environment is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the missions, structures and activities of the EESC and/or the CoR would be an asset.
