The CoR Working Group on relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, chaired by Csaba Borboly(RO/EPP), Vice-President of the Harghita County Council, will hold its inaugural meeting on 22 September 2025 in Brussels (room JDE 70, CoR premises).
The meeting will provide an opportunity for a strategic exchange on the current state of EU–Bosnia and Herzegovina relations, with various EU stakeholders and local and regional representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Participants will also examine how local and regional authorities can meaningfully contribute to the EU-related reform process, with particular emphasis on capacity-building needs.
The decision of the CoR to establish a dedicated Working Group reaffirms its commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation between local and regional authorities in the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina. This initiative also reflects the CoR’s active support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress on its path toward EU membership.
