An open call for tender for waste management tasks is taking place in 2022 for the second time. The funding is for tasks related to carrying out promotional, educational and informational activities on waste management with a particular focus on circular economy issues. 12 tenders were submitted for this year's call. Grants were awarded for seven tasks with a total grant amount of PLN 120 000. The call on support for the implementation of public tasks (grants) concerns educational tasks carried out by external entities, i.e. NGOs and other entities mentioned in Article 3(3) of the Act of 24 April 2003 on public benefit activity and volunteering – Resolution ZWM No 1123/334/22 of 5 July 2022.
As part of open calls for tender carried out so far, the following activities have been organised, developed and run for different age groups:
- radio spots and broadcasts, video materials dedicated to sustainable waste management and introducing circular economy issues, in particular on appropriate ways to process waste, including reducing it and composting in household compost bins
- brochures, leaflets, infographics, animations, presentations, e-books on zero-waste ideas and recycling
- workshops on recycling and zero-waste
- contests for children and youth – school pupils in Mazovia, contests for adults and quizzes on ecology, waste reduction, recycling etc.
- lessons and workshops for children, developing educational materials for children and distributing them e.g. through social media
- other educational/informational activities on waste management with a specific focus on circular economy issues
