This is the latest edition of the Green Deal Funding Alert, a monthly newsletter that keeps you informed about funding opportunities and initiatives that support sustainable development and the transition to climate neutrality. This edition presents a call for a funding project on the circular economy, nature and biodiversity, climate and energy, as well as information webinars on the Horizon programme and urban ecosystem restoration. 

1. LIFE Calls for proposals 2025 

Are you looking for EU funding for projects on the circular economy and quality of life, nature and biodiversity, climate change mitigation and adaptation or the clean energy transition?

Get ready for 24 April 2025, the publication date of the LIFE calls for proposal 2025 on the Funding & Opportunities Portal.

Looking for guidance? CINEA will hold virtual information sessions from 13 to 15 May 2025 to guide potential applicants through the LIFE Calls for proposals 2025.

2. Registration Open for the 2025 Horizon Europe Cluster 5 Info Day

Get to know more about Horizon Europe Cluster 5 at GREENET’s Info Day on 6 May 2025. A EUR 1.2 billion budget is dedicated to Climate, Energy and Mobility in the Cluster 5 work programme, providing an excellent opportunity for prospective applicants to explore the latest research and innovation topics.

3. Urban Nature restoration Webinar Series: Practical Strategies 

Do you have a nature restoration plan or project in place? Are you looking forward to greening your city? Would you like to share insights? Do you want to be inspired by other municipalities? 

The Greening Cities Partnership is hosting a webinar series in support of the EU Nature Restoration Regulation! The series is designed for urban plannerspolicymakers and environmental professionals, offering expert insight and practical strategies for restoring urban ecosystems. Follow the session on Collaboration on National Restoration Plans on 9 April 2025. And stay tuned! Other sessions will follow: 

  • 22 April – How to develop a Municipal Roadmap for Urban Ecosystem Restoration
