Green Flyway test arena can contribute to a more electrified and sustainable aviation sector and reduce climate emissions. The Region of Jämtland can be a more sustainable destination and the project can create growth and cross border cooperation and exchange of knowledge.
Green Flyway is an international test arena for future aviation.
Green Flyway is a unique test arena for electric aircraft, UAS, ATS and ground support. Located in the middle of Sweden and Norway, Green flyway offers a unique test environment with two international and several other national airports, as well as a cluster of manufacturers of industrial components in metal and plastics using additive manufacturing, universities, research institutions and an aviation industry.
Green Flyway's goal is to create an international test arena for tests of electric and sustainable aircraft and drones between Östersund, Sveg in Sweden and Röros and Trondheim in Norway. It is situated in a meteorologically and topographically interesting area. In addition, there is existing infrastructure in the area and knowledgeable players in the aviation sector, which together create very good conditions for a tester.
Green Flyway can support tests and arrange demonstrations for both manned and unmanned systems in the air and on the ground. Green Flyway works closely with Swedish and Norwegian authorities to enable testing of both unmanned systems and manned aircraft. In addition, we help to obtain all permits and approvals required for your specific assignments.
Green Flyway is an international test arena for the development of electric aircraft, drones, airspace control of autonomous aircraft, airport infrastructure, charging infrastructure, new electric airlines and sustainable regional accessibility and growth.
