Your job and responsibilities

As a secretary/clerk in the ECON Commission, you are responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to the Network of Regional Hubs (RegHub) team, in the organisation of RegHub meetings, events and consultations. This includes helping to create, collect and collate information from the questionnaires and surveys for RegHub consultations, ensuring effective communication with the RegHub network's contact points and managing the electronic filing system as well as the RegHub functional mailbox.

You will support the RegHub team by providing information to the relevant European Committee of the Regions (CoR) colleagues in charge of communication and the webmaster. This will consist in dealing with social media and other communication activities, editing the RegHub internet pages, and coordinating visual material and publications with the relevant Units.

You will also provide general administrative support to the ongoing work of the ECON Commission including, organisation of meetings, events, preparatory work of opinions and other activities (studies, surveys, stakeholder consultations). You will act as a back-up to other assistants in the Unit when necessary and carry out other administrative tasks assigned by the Head of Unit.

JOB-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • You have sound experience in logistical and administrative support.
  • You have a thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the European Union and a satisfactory knowledge of another of the EU official languages. For functional reasons, a high level of English is required and a good level of French is desirable.
  • You have a good command of IT applications and tools, such as Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint, including AI tools in a secure environment.

ASSETS

  • Previous experience in the CoR or other EU institution(s) is a strong asset.
