CoR enlargement activities - Feedback from 2023 and looking ahead at 2024

​​​​​​​On Tuesday, 30 January 2024, the co-chairs of the European Committee of the Regions' three Joint Consultative Committees with candidate countries and the chairs of the three Working Groups met with the chair of the CIVEX Commission to enhance the coordination between the actions of the enlargement bodies on the one hand and the consultative work in CIVEX on the other hand. 

Given the enlargement momentum and the ongoing preparation within the CIVEX commission of the two draft opinions on the Enlargement package 2023, one on the Western Balkans and Türkiye and the other one on Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, the (co-)chairs and rapporteurs explored venues for creating added-value and synergies among their work.
